Chief Operating Officer
As a globally dispersed organisation, both from a staff and membership perspective, IT is essential in delivering World Commerce & Contracting services. My role is to lead the operations team in delivering the best service possible to our members, encompassing learning management, marketing, member services, content and all elements of technology essential in delivering our services.
Having spent 12 years gaining a grounding in all aspects of IT, I studied for a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Durham University Business School. I have since held a number of IT Director roles and have more recently been providing interim leadership to organisations across a wide variety of industries.
The increasingly outsourced nature of IT has required me to undertake numerous supplier selection processes, negotiate contracts, deliver transitions and ultimately performance manage suppliers to ensure benefit realisation. I am now applying this wealth of knowledge and experience to define and deliver the operations strategy for World Commerce & Contracting.
I am married with a teenage son and daughter and we all love holidays together in the sun. I also love skiing, which my children are less keen on, but this at least keeps the cost down! I keep fit as a qualified Football Association (FA) referee - soccer for our American colleagues.
