The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2012 Law on Aribitration, which is generally based on the UNCITRAL Model Law, replaces the 1983 law. The new law is forward thinking, embracing both national and international proceedings, provides for rules governing arbitration proceedings in the Kingdom and deals with the enforcement of foreign arbitral awards.
