Contract Negotiation and Execution: Detecting and Responding to Bribery Risks - survey results

Over 300 companies were represented in the replies to our recent study on anti-bribery and corruption.

The findings show that inclusion of an anti-bribery clause in contracts remains variable and that it is not a highly negotiated provision. To some extent, this is because many companies are selective in its application, focusing especially on third party contracts with agents, remarketers or consultants. Others, however, operate with less sophistication and take a catch-all approach. There are also wide variation sin the extent of internal training or insistence upon such training within trading partners.
