ATE - Vested Outsourcing - The Microsoft story

Srini Krishna shares Microsoft's outsourcing journey that is founded on philosophy of the of the Vested Outsourcing model. This model is a radically new approach to architecting and managing outsourcing relationships. Rather than adopting a confrontational approach based on a 'What is in for me' thinking that characterises traditional outsourcing contracts, this framework suggests an approach where both sides are vested in each other's success. Founded on a philosophy of 'What is in it for We', aligned goals, flexible contract structures, clarity of outcomes and insightful governance, vested outsourcing relationships are designed to drive success for both the outsourcer and the service provider. Microsoft's OneFinance F&A BPO relationship with Accenture was architected on these principles. Over the past five years it has delivered considerable success to both Microsoft and Accenture in terms of driving monetary gains but also enabling transformation of the underlying processes. Our Expert:Srini Krishna (Director, Finance Operations - Commercial & Global Supplier Management)Srinivas brings 22 years of professional experience at and, working with, senior management and Boards giving him the breadth of perspective and depth of detail of managing businesses in a global environment.
