Following his involvement with international operations in various management capacities at Pan American World Airways and Delta Air Lines, in 1996 he moved to corporate headquarters in Atlanta to join Supply Chain Management organization. There, Mike was responsible for $200M portfolio of airport related service contracts at Delta's international locations on all continents. Mike oversaw implementation of strategic sourcing principles, supplier performance and relationship management processes and implementation of contract related e-technology at Delta's international operations.Since 1998, actively involved in International Air Transport Association's Ground Handling Council - global aviation trade forum and served as a vice Chairman of that organization from 2002. Co-authored revisions to global aviation industry contracting standards in 2004, 2008 and 2013.Founder of Tamarind Global Consulting LLC and currently rendering customized consulting services to international clients with primary focus on redesign of contract management and use of emerging technologies, development of global contract standardization, outcome vs. transaction based contracting, strategic sourcing, business partner relationship management.
