We have had a number of requests from IACCM members in the past few months asking what are the skills, qualities and attributes they need if they aspire to become a CPO.
We asked the experts this question, and the answers they came up with may be surprising to some. What balance of technical vs. leadership skills is appropriate? What are the skills needed for future success in these turbulent economic times? How do we as a professional community engender excitement, innovation, creativity, buzz around our profession?
How do we encourage people to be thought leaders and take a pride in the profession, rather than having purely a focus on material rewards and status?
This call aims to answer the question 'what makes a great CPO?', to enable members to think about how they might go on to develop their professional skills, experience and career to take them in this direction. The call will be a panel discussion.
