Government's spending with small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs)

Joshua Reddaway, the NAO's Director of Commercial and Contracting VFM, will be discussing the findings of the NAO's recently published report on government's spending with SMEs. Since 2010, the government has set itself an SME target - for 25% of its annual procurement spending to reach SMEs, either through direct contracts or via the supply chain. Having reported hitting this target in 2015, the government has now extended it to 33% by 2020.
