Public Sector Procurement Must Lead The Way On Climate Change

The impact of climate change is now multiplying and accelerating much faster than previously thought, and it's clear that procurement, supply chain and contracting professionals are on the frontline in the fight against climate change. The latest report from the UK Government Climate Change Committee emphasizes the need to align to the net-zero ambition and that 62% of carbon targets are at risk. But what can be done to make positive changes to our environment? What is the Government doing to put measures in place to take emergency action and is it enough?

WorldCC’s President, Tim Cummins, will be joined by David Shields FCIPS, Chief Executive Officer at Value Match to discuss the inadequacies of the current approach to the public procurement and how meeting environmental targets requires much greater attention, action and collaboration.

Help to enshrine within the Procurement Bill 2022 a net positive environmental impact for all Public Sector by signing this petition.
