Adrian Furner has over 25 years’ experience in the design, implementation, and delivery of complex commercial transactions through novel business models. He has worked in a variety of sectors including defence and security, aviation, technology and is Managing Director of Kommercialize.
Kommercialize is a practitioner-led organization focused on ‘Commercial Excellence’, supporting organizations in developing and leveraging their ‘commercial acumen’ to gain better business outcomes. This includes: raising their commercial awareness; designing and implementing innovation models; and deploying relational contracting to enhance business performance.
Prior to founding Kommercialize, Adrian held a number of Director level commercial, procurement, and operations roles within BAE Systems, giving him significant experience including: multi-billion £, long-term Private Finance Initiative (PFI) bids; joint venture creation and management; outsourced training management; portfolio management; asset financing; civil aircraft sale, leasing and broking; and fully financed naval ship reactivations.
Adrian is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), and a Fellow of the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM), where he is a former member elected Board Director. Adrian has contributed to a number of books on commercial and contract management and co-authored the recently published Professional Services Leadership Handbook (www.koganpage.com/pslh).

Barry joined the Civil Service in November 2015, having held a number of senior posts in the financial services, telecoms and automotive sectors spanning 30 years. Now Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Profession for the Ministry of Justice, Barry is the principle commercial advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister/Lord Chancellor/Secretary of State, and Permanent Secretary. This requires oversight of one of the largest outsourced portfolios in Whitehall covering a contracted spend in excess of £26bn across c4500 contacts. Responsibilities span the end-to-end commercial process from governance and policy, market stewardship, commissioning, sourcing, supplier management to mitigating third-party risk. Barry also oversees the operation of the department's national distribution centre, fleet and engineering services. More broadly, he is a member of the MoJ Investment Committee, Chair of the Commercial Oversight Group, and a regular attendee at the Audit and Risk Committee.
As a member of the Government Commercial Function’s leadership team, Barry is integral to the development of the public sector’s far-reaching procurement profession. He is also Chair of the Cabinet Office consulting triage board, member of the Infrastructure Projects Authority Steering Board and a Civil Service Reform Champion.
Through his work as a mentor and champion of women in procurement, Barry is able to leverage his position as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply to contribute to achieving greater equality. Barry is a qualified marketeer and as one of the pioneers of marketing procurement, helped establish the Commercial Purchasing Action Group at ISBA. Barry is also Chairman of the board at World Commerce and Contracts (formerly known as IACCM).

Paula Doyle is Chief Legal Innovation Officer at World Commerce & Contracting. Before World Commerce & Contracting, Paula headed up the European Cloud and Solutions legal team at IBM. Prior to joining IBM, she worked for leading New York law firm Weil Gotshal and ex Silicon Valley-based start-up Micromuse.
Paula is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Quintin Hogg Trust, a charity dedicated to the advancement of education. Bernadette Bulacan is a frequent speaker regarding the digital transformation of global enterprises.
