Innovation and technology are driving rapid changes in contracting. This Symposium explores the nature of these changes - what it means to the commercial community and how technology can help us get there.

The Symposium gives voice to research in these areas, further building the network contributing to knowledge and progress and enabling increased impact in the delivery of social and economic value. The Symposium brings together a community of researchers and practitioners to support review and implementation of existing work, while at the same time providing a forum to act as a catalyst for further research partnerships and activity.

World Commerce & Contracting, Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and McCormick School of Engineering invite researchers, academics, and practitioners to the first Academic Symposium in the World Commerce & Contracting Global Academic Symposium series.

Day One

Day one of the Academic Symposium consists of short presentations and discussion. Day One is open to all who register.

You don't want to miss this opportunity to hear from Nobel Prize Winning Oliver Hart live.

Day Two

Day two consists of a workshop with small groups focused on a specific pain point or research question. Participation in the day two workshop is by invite and application only. Please select that you are interested in attending day two when you register and we will send you an application form to submit.

The small groups, working with a facilitator, will create a research agenda, building on the takeaways from the first day. The small groups will define the challenge (or vision), describe the current condition, and develop a roadmap for future research. Participants will complete prework, which facilitators will assemble before the workshop.

CPD Points

Day 1: 4 CPD points
