Role Summary The Senior Commercial Manager (SCM) provides Commercial support to the Division to lead on transformational, functional, and organizational projects; and ensures that all businesses are applying both Group and Division Policies relating to commercial transactions. The SCM will support the VP Commercial (VPC) in providing the Product Groups with support and advice on Commercial Policies, helping them to develop processes, tailored to each Product Group, to ensure compliance. The SCM will support the VPC in the review and management of all Bid and Intermediary approvals to ensure that the quality and timeliness of submissions is improved and all future Policies are adopted. Core Responsibilities - Proactively line manages part of the PG Commercial Team and provides organisational advice, training, development and guidance to the team,
- Leads/participates in Commercial Team improvement projects and initiatives,
- Provides Business Context Training to other Functions within the Engine Systems Thermal Management Product Group
- Actively supports the bid team in responding to RFI’s or RFP’s including obtaining necessary internal approvals, leading on complex and supporting Commercial Lead on group opportunities,
- Drafts, reviews and negotiates commercial documents such as NDA’s and Terms and Conditions, leading on complex and supporting Commercial Lead on group opportunities,
- Lead in the dissemination of agreements,
- Administers the contract management system,
- Monitors and reports on performance against contracts,
- Drafts and negotiates contract amendments,
- Lead in contract closedown/exit activities

Reports to: Director, Commercial / VP Commercial
Escalation Point For: Commercial Coordinator, Commercial Specialist, Commercial Manager
Qualifications and Experience:
- Very Experienced Commercial Professional
- IACCM Member / Certified Member

- Line management experience with the ability to manage difficult situations,

- Proven negotiating skills, with the ability to achieve results without alienating the Customer.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Experienced Commercial Professional
- IACCM Member – Practitioner certified (or capable of becoming certified)
- Commercial intermediaries and Trade Compliance are key areas of understanding for this role.
