Due to continued expansion in Schneider Electric UK, we have a great opportunity for the right person to join our business in the United Kingdom as a Contract Manager . In this role the successful candidate will work within our Global Customer Projects organisation as part of a collegial Contracts Team, deeply embedded into the business whilst working under the supervision of our UK Director of Contract Management.
Your Responsibilities
- Focus of role is pre-sales activities performing T&C reviews & propose winning contractual set-up, referring to corporate Legal, Tax, and other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) where required
- Identify, review and mitigate financial, legal & commercial risks in coordination with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Negotiate T&Cs with the customer, business partners & third-party supplier along with Opportunity leader ensuring back to back contracts where appropriate
- Facilitate knowledge transfer of commercial contract set-up from pre-sales to execution phase to maximise commercial success of the project.
- Follow project execution vs. contractual rights and obligations
- Draft or support the drafting of contractual correspondences,
About You
- Qualified to degree level in relevant discipline (Legal, Quantity Surveying, Business Management)
- 10+ years of experience negotiating and drafting agreements.
- Knowledge of legal terms and commercial concepts
- Strong problem-solving and communication experience.
- Construction / Energy / Power projects background would be advantageous
- IACCM or additional professional membership would be advantageous
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team
- Excellent IT Skills essential
- Excellent communication and organisation skills essential
- Fluency in English is a must (written and verbal)
