Summary

We have already made significant progress through the establishment of the Government Commercial Organisation (GCO), our single employer of senior commercial talent across government. This role will sit within the GCO, but based in our DIT commercial team delivering departmental objectives.Job description
The successful candidate will need to be able to analyse, explore and visualise data sets in a way that provides meaningful commercial insight. Part of the role will involve ensuring that commercial and finance systems are effectively linked to enable automated reporting.
The role will take on overall project management of the Government Commercial Function (GCF) work, including the Government Commercial Operating Standards assessment, Blueprint V3 commenced October 2020, and Contract and Spend Insight Engine (CaSIE). Simply, this is a pivotal role in leading a portfolio of work across the function.
Responsibilities
- Reporting on a range of key metrics reported on a monthly /quarterly cycle within DIT and OGDs specifically, CO on areas such as control spend, KPI reporting etc;
- Meeting Cabinet Office expectations of integration of systems and automated data flow from the department to the Cabinet Office regarding Contract and Spend Information (CaSIE);
- Tracking and reporting DIT spend against our spend on Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) and providing relevant reports to the Cabinet Office;
- Managing complex data sets and leading the development of the reporting mechanisms of the function through creating and deploying self-service reports and dashboard;
- Leading the development and implementation of data models;
- Supporting the development and application of the data governance processes.
