About this role

The role holder will be responsible and accountable for the financial performance, service delivery and development of a small to medium sized contract, or medium sized subset of a large or strategically important contracts. They may operate in support of the Client Lead, or may lead an individual contract. The role holder will require an excellent understanding of the Media and Broadcast market as it is today, how it will transform and the challenges the business and BT’s customers face. 

 

As a member of the Sector you would be expected to demonstrate thought leadership and contract excellence as well as supporting your peers and colleagues living the BT values. 

In addition the role holder may be required to manage and lead a group of contract managers

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Managing a customer or group of customers to ensure financial targets are exceeded.
  • Generate change control and find new areas to expand the contract(s).
  • Contract P&L Management - control of all cost and revenue to contract.
  • Forecasting and volumes over lifetime.
  • SLA Management to ensure contract agreed levels are met and exceeded.
  • Contract Governance to comply with monthly CGR process and be fully SOX compliant and obligations logged/managed.
  • Maintain accurate commercial inventory and ensure billing is accurate and timely.
  • PO and credits process is followed, debt is minimised.
  • Supplier Management
  • To contribute to sector and account strategy and look for ways to innovatively develop contracts.
  • Significant accountability and responsibility for the financial and business performance of a small to medium sized contract or subset of a major contract.
  • Support the Client Lead, in managing the business relationship with the client and management of contract SLAs.
  • Risk Management; identification of contract issues and risks, ownership of the mitigation plans and execution against those plans
  • To lead cost transformation initiatives across the contract base operating model working with the functional teams including; Commercial Products, Service Delivery and Service Operations teams.
  • Be an active member of the contract management community advocating and sharing best practice

 

You'll have the following skills & experience

  • Contract management accreditations or qualifications such as membership of IACCM
  •  
  • Previous responsibility for managing large contracts with life time P&L of over £100m, including business casing and creating energy and engagement around initiatives to drive the bottom line
  • Highly analytical with Mathematics at A-Level or degree level and adept at managing and driving commercial performance and outcomes for a contract
  • Evidence of driving a programme or project through to completion overcoming challenges to achieve success
  • Previous experience of the contract lifecycle especially in life contract management
  • Demonstrable evidence of excellent communication skills and successfully managing challenging stakeholders both internally and customer facing
