I am delighted to tell the WCC community that we are now looking for two Commercial Contract Managers to join us working in our Reading HQ. As long-standing members of the WCC, the current Commercial Contract Managers (part of Group Procurement) have been instrumental in revolutionising the way we do business with our suppliers, building real partnerships and creating mutual benefit.
As a Commercial Contract Manager, working closely with internal stakeholders up to and including members of the Executive Leadership Team, you will have full accountability and responsibility for managing the commercial and contractual relationship with our Key Strategic Partners across categories including Network Build, Network Infrastructure, Systems and Wholesale Carriers to name a few.

Job Overview:
The Commercial Contract Manager role requires an experienced and strategic-minded person as part of our dynamic team and lead in-life commercial contract management matters in the Group Procurement function within Finance. The person will be responsible for leading and managing the contractual relationships with a number of our key procurement strategic partners (KSPs) across the AllPoints Fibre Network group. This role requires a commercial professional with a strong background in contract management, negotiation, and a comprehensive understanding of the telecommunications industry. As a member of the procurement team, the Commercial Contract Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, compliance, and profitability of our partnerships, while maintaining a strong focus on fostering positive relationships and driving business growth through the deployment of a safety, quality, and output model.
Responsibilities:
Contract Strategy and Development:
- Help to develop, implement, and deliver continuous improvements to a comprehensive contract management strategy aligned with the overall business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, legal teams, and partners to design and structure contracts that optimise value and mitigate risks.
- Partner Relationship Management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the key strategic partners with contracts under management.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with key strategic partners to ensure mutual understanding and successful partnership outcomes.
Contract Management and Execution:
- Lead in-life contract negotiations for their allocated contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are favourable to the company while maintaining a balanced and collaborative approach.
- Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle, from contract execution, amendment, renewal, and exit.
- Deploy a robust change management process and maintain an accurate contract data set to avoid project scope creep and unbudgeted financial risk.
- Draft, review, and revise contract documents including terms and conditions, pricing, payment terms and all relevant clauses.
Performance Monitoring and Compliance:
- Monitor key strategic partner and All Points Fibre Group performance against contractual obligations and KPIs, ensuring compliance and timely issue resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address external and internal performance issues and drive continuous improvement.
Risk Management and Mitigation:
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with theirs and other KSP contracts and propose effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations to ensure contracts remain compliant and in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
Financial Management:
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, payment, and cost tracking related to KSP contracts.
- Drive financial optimization through contract renegotiations and cost-saving initiatives.
This person will need this Knowledge and Experience do carry out the role:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in contract management within the telecommunications industry, with a focus on Mobile / Fixed Line Telecoms.
- Proven track record of successfully managing in-life complex contracts with strategic partners.
- Strong understanding of telecom industry dynamics, market trends, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Sound financial acumen and experience managing contract-related financial aspects.
This person will need this level of education and these qualifications to carry out the role:
Professional certifications such as WWC (formally IACCM) commercial contract management accreditation.
