As an individual contributor, you will provide legal and business expertise in the evaluation, development, and negotiation of commercial transactions, contracts, proposals, and quotes while ensuring compliance with current policies and procedures and minimizing contractual risk.

You will report  to the Senior Manager of Contract Management – Sales and Service, you will work with a team of other Contracts Managers and interface with Legal, Risk, Finance, Sales, the Global Business Services team as well as other internal Philips customers and negotiate directly with external customers. 

You are responsible for

  • Working with field personnel and internal departments to evaluate and negotiate contracts for sales/service (i.e. capital, consumables, SaaS, consulting, etc.) as well as other related documents

  • Creating contract solutions that minimize risk and provide value to Philips and customers

  • Providing support to Customer Fulfillment Center and Proposal Center for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs

  • Implementing and recommending improvements of policies and processes that will ensure that proposals, contractual documents and purchase orders are aligned with company's business controls, policies and procedures.

  • Maintaining contract files

  • Advising management of contractual rights, obligations, and providing interpretation of terms and conditions identifying risks.

  • Providing training to Sales Team, Customer Fulfillment Center, and proposal developers to ensure consistent application of corporate policies and procedures

  • Direct support of sales and business, particularly at month end

  • Maintaining contract activity in workflow tool (SFDC)

  • Behavioral: Daily demonstration of the highest level of Philips Leadership competencies and 4 behaviors

  • Other related duties as assigned.

o succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • 5+ Years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Paralegal, Certified Contract Management (CCM) [or other contract management certification], or J.D. desired.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to prioritize assignments.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees at various levels within the organization, as well as customers.

  • Highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment that is deadline driven; be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task and manage the day to day transactional work with projects, set priorities, and ensure completion of tasks.

  • Proficient in MS Office; with the ability to learn and adapt to other programs such as Saleforce.com (SFDC), Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools and Lean methodology.

  • Project management; as well as, solid analytical and negotiation skills, required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, an energetic, proactive, flexible individual who can work independently and as a team player.
