About the Role:  We are looking for a Contract Manager to join our Legal team.  In this role, you will focus on the execution of agreements with our pharmaceutical and medical device customers in support of our PharmBIO business group and will provide broad support of other markets in our Performance Solutions Division as need. You will be responsible for drafting, coordinating business reviews, negotiating and managing execution of contracts and agreements in the area of supply, strategic sales, sample/material transfer, quality, EDI, customer portals and other areas of our operations, utilizing legal guidance and advice provided by Gore’s in-house Global Legal Team. You will also be responsible for interacting outside of Gore with our business partners and customers throughout the contract negotiation process.

Responsibilities:  

  • Partner with business teams to evolve and execute contracting strategy.
  • Drive the contract management process including drafting, business reviews, negotiating, execution, and associated management of a wide variety of contracts for execution, including third-party agreements
  • Coordinate with and advise internal clients on various contractual provisions and issues and communicates information to stakeholders about contract-related matters
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal and external clients on contractual matters ensuring timely review and approval of suggested variations to contracts
  • Lead Gore’s contract requirements and executing / aligning on contracting processes with focusing on and improving strategic account relationships
  • Effectively utilize and apply previously agreed upon contract language and fallback provisions to mitigate Gore’s risk and help ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements in the target markets
  • Collaborate with product specialists, sales associates, business leaders, the legal team, and other functional experts in Europe, the Americas and Asia
  • Maintain a consistent contracting approach and process and proactively strengthening and supporting the development of contract knowledge within the target markets and business teams
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with teams

 

Required Qualifications:  

  • BBA/BA/BS degree in a business or contract related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a contract specialist/contract manager with demonstrated ability in contract administration, negotiation and management
  • Understanding of Uniform Commercial Code
  • Experience establishing process improvements across multiple functions to meet regulatory and customer requirements
  • Experience working in cross-functional and virtual teams, ideally across cultures and regions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite with strong, demonstrable capabilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to analyze complex contracts and the resulting business risks and communicate them broadly to leadership
  • Ability to work with customers and find solutions to meet regulatory requirements while protecting company Intellectual Property and sensitive financial information
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

  • World Commerce & Contracting (formally IACCM) CCM Certification or National Contract Management Association (NCMA) CCCM / CPCM / CFCM Certification
